Star Wars X-Wing Star Fighter
Saturday, November 30, 2013
Had been really busy this afteroon with this X-Wing. Built from our own imagination. Halfway building the X-Wing, Kang Jung asked if I can built him the Death Star. I asked him if he want to destroy the Death Star with X-wing, he said yes.
Anyway, I actually use a light grey dustbin for R2D2 but KJ wanted to improve the look. So he designed his own yellow R2D2.
I give Kang Jung the Death Star as below. He complained it was too small. I told him Death Star was very far away. Bwahahaha.
Kang Jung said: X-Wing Star Fighter is about to destroy the Death Star. LOL, such a small Death Star.

KJ conversation topic
These were some of our conversation topic KJ always had with me.
Star Wars, Star Wars, Lego Star Wars, Pocket Trains, Star Wars, Lego Star Wars, Star Wars, When I grow up..., Star Wars, Star Wars, Lego Star Wars, Lego City, Star Wars, Pocket Trains, Star Wars, When I grow up, I want to buy..., Star Wars, Star Wars, Lego Star Wars....
...you get the idea.
Somehow, I was forced to watch Star Wars again and again and re-learn all the characters. Previously, I was forced to play pocket trains and Plants vs Zombies. Now I was hook on Pocket Trains but not Star Wars yet. Smurfs has become a history.

Found this mother day drawing
Saturday, November 23, 2013
I found this drawing in one of KJ textbooks while I was packing away his stuff. Need to keep this drawing somewhere, so I have decided to take a picture and keep this drawing in his blog.

A few months ago...
KJ: Mommy, what do you do at work?
Me: I design buildings, then I draw and write "instruction" for the contractors.
KJ: Is that something like the Lego instruction book?
Me: ...hmmm...yah, something like that.
Mommy: What do you want to do when you grow up? (Expecting the answer to be a bus planner or a Lego designer)
KJ: I want to be an architect, just like you!
My heart stopped beating for a minute. Should I tell him that this is not an easy career?
Mommy: What happen to the bus planner or the Lego designer?
KJ: I find designing building more interesting.
He was amazed at some of the work I brought back home to do. Especially those projects in Sketchup.
I dunno... I will not stop him, but I hope he will change his mind.

Being a woman is difficult
Friday, October 11, 2013
After having a hard day at work, after fetching KJ home, I put everything down and started preparing our dinner. While I was boiling some water for the noodles, KJ stepped in and wanted to help me with my cooking. I was afraid that he may be too near the boiling water so I rejected his help. He insisted helping and torn the plastic bag of the noodle. I raised my voice at him and realise immediately that I should not have done that. I said sorry to him immediately.
He then told me that he know being a woman is difficult. I got a shock at that moment. How come a 7 years old boy said that to me? I ask him how does he know? He said that the YouTube commerical told him that.
Now I am trying to find that commerical in YouTube.

Attacking a chicken
Monday, October 07, 2013
The best way to teach KJ about part of a chicken is to let KJ attack and eat a whole chicken. He even commented which part was hard and which part was nice. Now he knows where the wings and drumstick are.
